DeepBEAT
The project consortium of DeepBEAT aims to develop ground-breaking technologies to use geochemistry for the detection of deep-seated land deposits. Transforming Europe’s exploration sector by integrating cutting-edge technologies and sustainable practices will push Europe towards a climate-neutral and socially responsible economy. The exploration of deep land deposits should employ environmentally friendly, socially acceptable, and ultra-low impact methodologies to ensure the citizens that exploration activities can be conducted responsibly. Acceptance to exploration and mining will be a cornerstone towards cultivating a more resilient and inclusive European society.
LEARN MORELANDFEED
LANDFEED aims to transform under-utilised waste from the agro-food industry, forestry, urban and natural sources into valuable bio-fertilisers, promoting local and circular solutions to increase Europe’s self-sufficiency. The project will develop advanced nutrient recovery technologies and innovative coatings for these fertilisers to improve nutrient release and efficiency, resulting in lower greenhouse gas emissions and reduced environmental impact on water resources. Local use cases will showcase and disseminate the technologies and results, supporting the restoration of soil health by increasing biodiversity in line with the Soil Strategy.
Learn MoreNEO-CYCLE
The NEO-CYCLE project aims to demonstrate at TRL6 the sustainable upcycling of spent NdFeB magnets comings from hard disks drives (HDDs), reaching high quality end products for 4 case studies: pharmaceutical, ammonia, fertilizers, and polymers industries; and will include necessary paths to reach the market uptake. To reach this aim, NEO-CYCLE involves all the relevant actors in the value chain, from public authorities to WEEE recycler companies, technology developers, associations, NGOs, SMEs and commercial companies in the targeted sectors.
LEARN MORESUSHEAT
SUSHEAT will contribute to deep industrial decarbonisation by providing a thermal heat upgrade solution for factory processing. The SUSHEAT solution will deliver stable, on-demand heat with a full decoupling from any waste heat recovery and renewables availability. The project will develop the key components for a new generation of highly efficient industrial heat upgrade systems fed by renewable energy sources and waste heat recuperation.
WebsiteNOVAFOODIES
NOVAFOODIES will offer novel & competitive functional products to European consumers from a reliable, traceable, and sustainable fisheries and aquaculture value chains. The project will demonstrate cost-efficient and sustainable fish, micro- and macro- algae production processes and processing methodologies for novel functional food and feed production.
WebsiteNeoVasculoStop
An early-stage research project with the approach to elicit a paradigm shift in how we design future drug delivery strategies to the retina. The novel strategy of drug targeting will not only enrich the modified molecules in retinal tissue but will also reduce the therapeutic oral dose compared to existing anti-angiogenic therapy thereby increasing the safety of the treatment.
WebsitePrecept
The PRECEPT PROJECT is using cutting-edge technologies to transform conventional residential buildings into highly efficient and proactive residential buildings. The project will facilitate the smooth and almost zero operational costs of transformation increasing the buildings performance, energy efficiency, and the occupants’ well-being.
WebsiteAgriMax
Agrimax will take the residues and by-products from agricultural crops and process them in two, flexible, multi-feedstock pilot biorefineries, purpose-built for the project. A refinery in Italy will process waste from tomatoes and cereals and another in Spain will do the same for olive and potato waste. The target is to convert 40% of the waste the pilot plants receive into high-value materials.
learn moreYpack
The main objective of YPACK is the pre-industrial scale up and validation of two innovative food packaging solutions (thermoformed tray and flow pack bag) based on PHA, with active and passive barrier properties. New packaging will use food industry by-products (cheese whey and almond shells), assure the biodegradability and recyclability, and reduce food waste, in the frame of the EU Circular Economy strategy.
learn moreOptiNanoPro
With the use of nanotechnology both in bulk and surface application, OPTINANOPRO will deliver demonstrators of packaging with improved barrier properties as well as with repellent properties resulting in easy-to-empty features that will on the one hand reduce wastes at consumer level and, on the other hand, improve their acceptability by recyclers. Likewise, self-cleaning solar panels will be provided to increase their effectiveness and extend the period between their maintenance and their lifetime by filtering UV light leading to material weathering. In the automotive sector, lightweight parts will be obtained for greater fuel efficiency.
learn moreHorizon Results Booster
Horizon Results Booster is a new package of specialised services to maximise the impact of R&I public investment and further amplify the added value of the Framework Programmes (FPs). It helps to bring a continual stream of innovation to the market and beyond. It will help to speed up the journey towards creating an impact, providing support to remove bottlenecks.
WebsiteSache
The SACHE project will develop and deliver integrated local development strategies based on tools and approaches that accelerate creative entrepreneurship within and around cultural heritage. The project will expand and strengthen the role of cultural heritage sites, symbols and values by transforming them into “Smart Accelerators of Creative Heritage Entrepreneurship” (SACHE) based on a newly developed central European model.
WebsitePolybioskin
The PolyBioSkin project seeks to broaden the use of biopolymers in strategic and demanding skin-contact applications by developing skin-contact bio-polymer based product parts with increased performance and functionality derived from biomass and food waste, providing a more environmentally friendly end of life given their biodegradability allowing organic recycling.
learn moreLynceus2Market
Maritime disasters in recent years are a stark reminder of the imperative need for timely and effective evacuation of large passenger ships during emergency. The Lynceus2Market project addresses this challenge through delivering a revolutionary operational system for safe evacuation based on innovative people localisation technologies.
